On behalf of Cancer Council Queensland, congratulations to all staff and supporters of Formosa Cancer Foundation on the advent of the Foundation’s 15th Anniversary!
Over the past 15 years, Cancer Council Queensland has been pleased to witness the growth of the Formosa Cancer Foundation. In that time, the Foundation has successfully engaged the support of health professionals, research institutions, the business sector, and the broader Taiwanese community to improve cancer control.
The Foundation’s work has helped to raise public awareness of cancer prevention and early detection, servicing the supportive care needs of patients, and ensuring patients have access to a high quality of cancer care.
Of particular importance, the Foundation has contributed to global cancer control by co-sponsoring initiatives such as the 16th Reach to Recovery International Breast Cancer Support Conference in 2011 and endorsing the International Psycho-Oncology Society’s International Quality Standard, standing alongside many other leading national cancer organizations from around the world.
Our hope for the future is to continue working with the Foundation to further strengthen cancer control in Taiwan and the broader Asian region. Through collaborations and partnerships we can build community capacity to help eradicate cancer as a life-threatening disease for future generations.
The vision of Cancer Council Queensland is for a cancer free future- we are pleased to support the Formosa Cancer Foundation towards attainment of this vision.
